(HALIFAX, NS) Peter Reynolds scored once and assisted on another goal in a 4-2 UNB win over the Dalhousie Tigers in Atlantic University Sport men's hockey action, Saturday night in Halifax.
Reynolds scored the game's first goal, on the power-play, mid-way through the opening period.
Dal's Jonah Jelley scored the only goal of the second period, pulling the Tigers even through 40 minutes.
In the third period, Mike Petizian and Stuart Rolofs, on the power-play, scored 2:35 apart to give UNB a 3-1 lead.
Brody Fournier responded for Dal just 35 seconds after Rolofs' goal to make it a 3-2 game.
Cole Huckins added UNB's fourth goal into an empty net with less than three minutes to play, restoring the REDS' two goal advantage.
Liam Sztuska made 13 saves on 15 shots to earn the win in the UNB net.
Robbie Forbes saw 46 REDS shots, making 42 saves.
Reynolds added an assist for a two point night.
Cody Morgan had two assists in the REDS win, the second of which was the 100th regular season point of his AUS career in his 100th career AUS regular season game.
The REDS are now 6-3-1-0 (W-L-OTL-SOL), good for 13 points and second place in the AUS standings, one point back of Acadia and Saint Mary's.
Next up for the REDS, a Wednesday night home game against Moncton. The opening faceoff is scheduled for 7:00pm.
Dal visits Acadia on Friday night.
