REDS Improve To 10-0
(FREDERICTON, NB) The UNB REDS won for the tenth time in ten matches, beating the visiting l'Université de Moncton Aigles Bleues 3-0 in Atlantic University Sport women's volleyball, Friday evening at UNB's Richard J. Currie Center.
The REDS won 25-14, 25-12, and 25-19.
The home team raced out to a 6-0 lead in the opening set and rode another 6-0 run to pull away late on route to the 25-14 set win.
In the second set the teams traded points to 7-7 before five and four point runs allowed UNB to create some separation. UNB won the second set 25-12.
The REDS built an early 3-0 lead in the third set and extended their lead to 11-4 on a 4-0 run mid-way through.
Moncton fought to stay in the set but ultimately fell 25-19.
Lydia Green led the REDS with 16 kills on an impressive .593 hitting percentage and had 11 digs.
Jenna Adams registered 23 digs while Talia Nixon put up 29 assists. Isla Olesen added eight kills and four blocks.
Former RED Emma Burns led les Aigles Bleues with six kills and ten digs. Jasmine Allain had 14 digs.
With the win, the REDS improve to 10-0 and remain atop the AUS standings. Moncton is now 2-7.
The REDS return to action on Friday, January 9th (2026) when they visit Dalhousie. First serve is scheduled for 6:00pm.
