(HALIFAX, NS) The Dalhousie Tigers beat the UNB REDS 74-66 in Atlantic University Sport men's basketball action, Saturday night in Halifax.
The REDS trailed 39-31 at the half and allowed the Tigers to extend that lead in the third and fourth quarters.
Eden Otshudi led the REDS with 15 points while Marcus Barnes dropped 13 and Brandon Laryea contributed a dozen points, three assists and three steals.
Ben Power and Tim Ellison came off the REDS bench to score eight points and nine points respectively. Ellison also grabbed six rebounds.
Giovanni Ajiamah scored a game-high 18 points to lead the Tigers. Riley Stewart recorded a double-double, scoring 16 points and pulling down 12 rebounds.
The loss, the second of the weekend for UNB, dropped the REDS to 5-3, still good for a three-way share of second place in the AUS standings.
The Tigers improve to 3-5.
The REDS next action comes Friday when they visit the Memorial Sea-Hawks. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30pm Atlantic. Dalhousie will host UPEI the same night.
