(FREDERICTON, NB) On Saturday, the UNB REDS handed the Dalhousie Tigers their first loss of the Atlantic University Sport women's soccer season. On Sunday, the Tigers returned the favour.
Jordan Mansfield's goal in the 26th minute stood as the winner as the Tigers beat the REDS 1-0 at UNB's BMO Centre.
With the win, Dal improves to 8-1-0 (W-L-T). The REDS are 5-1-3.
Solid Dal defence and an inability for the REDS to capitalize on their few chances was the difference.
Emily Toth made six saves on six shots in the Tigers net while Breanna Habinski faced seven shots in the UNB net, stopping six.
The REDS next action is Friday evening when they play host to the Saint Mary's Huskies in their final home game of the season. Kick-off is scheduled for 5:00pm.
The Tigers will visit Cape Breton, Sunday, for a 1:00pm start.
