REDS Bow Out At U SPORTS Championships
(REGINA, SK) The UNB REDS finished their run at the U SPORTS Women's Curling Championship with a win and a loss on the final day of round robin play, in Regina.
The Jenna Campbell rink beat McMaster in an early draw.
UNB scored three in the fifth end but allowed the Marauders a three of their own in the seventh.
The REDS scored twice in the eighth to force an extra end and then stole a single in the extra for the 6-5 win.
In a late afternoon draw, the Campbell foursome built a 3-2 lead before giving up singles in the fifth, sixth, and seventh ends, and two more in the eighth in a 7-3 loss to host Regina.
The REDS finish with a 3-and-4 record and have been eliminated from medal contention.
Memorial, Alberta, McMaster, and Regina will play semi-finals and medal games on Saturday.
