(SYDNEY, NS) The UNB Varsity Reds opened the second half of the Atlantic University Sport season on a winning note, beating the Cape Breton Capers 73-69.
Alison Keough had a game high 24 points and 10 rebounds for the Capers(5-4).
Laura Kaye had 20 points for the Varsity Reds(5-3), while Grace Wade chipped in with 15 points, six assists, four rebounds and four steals.
Rachel Cleary added 10 points for UNB.
The Varsity Reds continue a weekend road-trip, heading to Antigonish where they'll face St. FX on Saturday evening.
