REDS Wrap U SPORTS With Bronze Medal

(WINNIPEG, MB) The UNB REDS wrapped up the 2026 U SPORTS Track & Field Championships Sunday with another medal.

Silas Conlin-Morse took the bronze medal in the men’s 1500 metres.

Conlin-Morse covered the distance in 3:49.79, finishing less than 2/10ths of a second back of the silver medallist. Teammate Jared Howse ran 6^th, finishing just over a second back of Conlin-Morse.

On Saturday, Conlin-Morse ran the anchor leg as UNB won the gold medal in the men’s 4-by-800-metre relay.

The REDS’ men’s 4-by-400-metre relay team ran to a 10^th place finish on Sunday while Oliver Arnfast finished 12^th in the men’s heptathlon.

Haley Angus leapt to a fourth-place finish in the women’s triple jump, just nine centimetres off the medal podium, and Hannah Barnhard finished 10^th in the women’s high jump.

In the team standings, the UNB men were the top Atlantic University Sport team, finishing in a tie (with Queen’s) for 12^th, with 20 points. The UNB women finished 16^th, with 13 points.

The Western Mustangs won the overall men’s title while the Guelph Gryphons won the women’s crown.
