(HALIFAX, NS) The UNB REDS scored four times in the third period in a 6-0 win over the Dalhousie Tigers in Atlantic University Sport men's hockey, Saturday night in Halifax.
Michael Petizian scored what would turn out to be UNB's eventual game-winner at 13:01 of the first period.
Nicolas Savoie tipped home the REDS' second goal with less than a minute remaining in the second period, converting a nice feed from Cole Huckins.
Petizian and Luke Torrance added power-play goals in the third while Leighton Carruthers and Gage Heyes scored even strength goals.
The REDS outshot the Tigers 64-18, holding the home team to just four shots in the third period.
Remi Delafontaine earned the shutout in the REDS net.
Robbie Forbes made 58 saves in the loss.
UNB is now 16-8-2-0 (W-L-OTL-SOL) and tied for second in the AUS standings with Acadia.
The Tigers are 1-22-2-1, mired in seventh place.
The REDS return to home ice on Friday when they host the Saint Mary's Huskies. Game time is 7:00pm.
