(CHARLOTTETOWN, PE) The UNB REDS scored a 2-0 win over the UPEI Panthers in Atlantic University Sport men's hockey action, Friday night in Charlottetown.
After a scoreless first period, Camaryn Baber put the REDS on the board, scoring the eventual game-winner, at 6:32 of the second period.
Luke Torrance added an empty-net goal with 1:14 left in the third to make it a 2-0 game.
The REDS outshot the Panthers 42-24.
Remi Delafontaine made 24 saves to earn the shutout in the REDS' net.
UNB is now 8-3-1-0 (W-L-OTL-SOL) while the Panthers are 6-5-0-0.
The REDS return to action next Friday, November 14th, when they host Acadia. Game time is 7:00pm.
The Panthers are back in action Saturday (November 8th) when they visit Moncton.
